Fundamentals for Successful Flooring - Bloemfontein
The Kopano Nokeng Lodge in Bloemfontein was the venue for the latest technical offering from the Inland Branch of the Society.
The mini-seminar attracted more than 20 delegates who were welcomed by Tina Coetzee, current Chairperson of the Inland Branch. The visitors proved to be a very interactive audience who enjoyed the entertaining and informative presentations by George Evans from PPC and Jacques Smith from Go-Consult.
Everyone participated in the presentations and provided excellent examples and questions of on-site problems with flooring. George Evans presented the different construction methods for successful flooring as well as the common flaws in the construction, finishing and protection of concrete floors.
Jacques Smith spoke about the different type of cracking and how to distinguish between the common types of cracks and the seriousness of these. The level of concrete technology was of very high standard and the speakers were commended by the delegates for their willingness to share their vast knowledge in concrete.
The main sponsor, AfriSam, made good use of the opportunity to advertise their brand and gave each delegate a goodie bag with some promotional gifts.
The two Display Table sponsors, Chryso SA and Verni Speciality Construction Products, also attracted many delegates with interesting products on display.
The Inland Branch would like to express its thanks to these sponsors for their generous support
