The Concrete Society of Southern Africa NPC realises the importance of being able to engage with students who are the future lifeblood of the concrete industry. Being able to provide services that are valued by students is at the forefront of the Society’s agenda.
Attempts in the past to recruit Student Members of the Society have proved fairly unsuccessful, and there is no doubt that the membership fee is not affordable by many these days.
The Academic Institution category of membership carries a nominal annual membership fee and would cover academic, teaching, research and technical staff engaged by the academic institution (maximum 10 per institution), to full time post-graduate (Masters and PhD) students and final-year undergraduate students undertaking programmes of study relevant to the interests and activities of the Society.
Key aspects of the Student Membership is the ability of the Society to:
- Link students seeking employment with the industry
- Provide technical resources that may assist in research and assignments, through our seminars, conferences and technical papers in Concrete Beton
- Provide a ‘concrete’ community that will remain with them throughout their professional development/career
- Enjoy 1 year full memberhsip free, following graduation
